Recent UK Exoneree talks about release and time in jail

Recent DNA exoneree Victor Nealon, who spent 17 years in prison for an attempted rape he did not commit, has spoken of his time in prison and his release. He was given just 7 days notice of his appeal, then when freed from the appeal court, dropped at a local train station with 46 pounds (approx US$75) and nowhere to live. He is now considering suing the police for his arrest in order to gain some compensation to rebuild his life. Read the full interview here….

I also have a friend whom has been incarcerated for a murder he did not commit wasn’t even investigated correctly was convicted because of known associate was involved witnesses lied on the stand he was 18 yrs old other was juvenile and so was the real killer only my friend has spent 35 plus years in prison the saddest part is the victims mother was asked to go to his parole hearing and forgive him so he may be released she said. I know he didn’t kill my son but someone has to pay for it she is supposedly a Christian

Victor’s positive attitude bodes well for him. Compensation for the injustice he suffered would help.
