Anyone who followed and was shocked by the Troy Davis case should have another upcoming case on their radar: Thomas Arthur of Alabama, who is scheduled to be executed in a couple of weeks. I was brought in as an expert witness on this case a few year back by Sullivan & Cromwell and got to know the scoop first-hand. Someone else confessed to the crime…the State of Alabama denies DNA testing. All the ingredients of a miscarriage of justice. Details here. More here.

Yes I signed a petition on this case. Alabama knowingly trying to kill an innocent man, is crazy and what is most crazy they are allowed too.
miscarriage of justice is not even the right words for that, Why is it the feds cannot intervene and stop this kind of action? I thought the feds were over the state? This is just one of thousands of reasons the death penalty needs to be abolished.
